Lodging
  • Depending on which Garrison you are moving to, your lodging will fall under Army Lodging or IHG Lodging. You can also make reservations through the DOD Lodging portal.
  • The easiest way to ensure your lodging is taken care of before you arrive, is to coordinate with your Sponsor. Your Sponsor can assist you with reservations and ensure everything is taken care of prior to your arrival.
  • Single Soldiers will typically stay in a barracks room within their unit area. Check with your Sponsor for details.
  • There are rules regarding reimbursement of your hotel stay while awaiting housing at your new installation. TLE and TLA are the entitlements you may use to off set costs and both have limitations.
  • If you are traveling with a pet, you will need to determine whether your gaining installation lodging allows pets. If not, you may need to coordinate for a kennel or a pet friendly hotel off post. Some overseas locations may require quarantine times for pets.

Visit Relocation Readiness for:

  • individual counseling
  • referral services
  • additional resources and information

  • If on-post lodging is not available, have your sponsor arrange for a hotel off post.
  • Lodging is not assigned automatically so ensure that you have temporary lodging before arrival.

Military OneSource provides an installation program directory that allows you to search for your local Relocation Assistance Program Office.

Click the image below to take you to the MOS Moving page where you can utilize this program directory.

*You may need to scroll down on the page when it loads. The directory is located on the right side about 1/2 way down the page.
